Are organisms interdependent? Why?

Yes. The life of each organism depends on, and is influence by, other organism around it. A change in one population affects the other population in the community. For example, if the population of small crab decrease, the population of mudskippers decrease too, due to the lack of food. It is also possible that the mudskippers would feed on more insects and small worms to get enough food. Thus, the population of insects and population will decrease. This biological balance or equilibrium is like a web. Breaking a single strand will affect the whole system.
